Artist's comments: This painting is meant to depict a meeting between Man & Nature. The figure represents a person of responsibility, perhaps a politician or businessman. He is having a meeting with Nature to discuss the problem of rising ocean levels, but the gulls aren't much interested. When the tide comes in they will just fly away.
